E-Van Guru was founded by Brian Bachelor in 2021, born from his passion for electric vans and helping businesses make smarter, greener choices. From these early days, the business has grown into Van Guru Fleet Specialists, a friendly, hands-on family team that sources, sells, and finances light commercial vehicles of all brands, with market-leading expertise in specifying and sourcing a complete range of converted vans. E-Van Guru remains our dedicated electric division, supporting customers making the switch to electric.
Brian brings over 30 years’ experience in the commercial vehicle industry, including seven years championing electric vehicles. He was instrumental in securing one of the UK’s first major e-van fleet deals in 2014, and since then the team has helped thousands of SMEs, national fleets, and public sector organisations transition to electric. Between them, the E-Van Guru team has almost 70 years of combined experience across brands including Volvo Trucks, Isuzu, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Volkswagen, and Nissan — expertise that underpins everything we do for our customers.

Brian began his career as a commercial vehicle diesel technician, giving him a deep, practical understanding of how vans actually work, but it is in vehicle sales where he has truly made his mark. He left West Way Nissan as General Manager of its Fleet, Leasing and Business Centre operations, overseeing the sale of more than 10,000 vehicles a year.
Over the years, Brian has become a well-respected and familiar figure in the industry, building strong, long-standing relationships with businesses of all sizes across the West Midlands and throughout the UK — relationships that continue to underpin the way E-Van Guru and Van Guru Fleet Specialists work with their customers today.
Supporting him are Phil, our Sales Director, with unrivalled expertise in specifying and sourcing converted vans, and Emma, our Business Development Director, who drives the long-term growth of the business, ensuring we continue to expand our services and support for customers across electric and converted light commercial vehicles. Together, the team combines practical knowledge, market-leading expertise, and a genuine passion for helping businesses keep moving.
